WILL BEAUMONT
Founder
Will loves everything to do with solar and cars, especially electric ones. Will has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Economics from Sydney University and a strong background in tier 1 construction and commercial solar working for Lendlease and Solgen Energy /AGL.
JONAS VENDEL
Sales & Commercial Manager
Jonas brings a decade of experience across mechanical engineering, maritime operations, and energy commercial leadership to his role as Sales and Commercial Manager at Canyon Solar. Having worked across Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the US, he applies a sharp instinct for partnerships and cross-cultural business development to drive Canyon's sales strategy.
El BEAUMONT
Chief of Staff
El brings over a decade in the criminal justice system to her role as Chief of Staff at Canyon Solar. As both a former criminal lawyer and trained psychologist, she has managed high-stakes litigation and conducted psychological and risk assessments. El now applies that experience to support Canyon's growth, bridging people, process, and technical delivery as the company scales its solar canopy infrastructure worldwide.
CONNOR WORTH
Project Engineer
Connor is a sharp, data-driven mechanical engineer with a strong technical foundation and a knack for solving complex problems. He supports site delivery, subcontractor coordination, and technical planning across Canyon’s canopy projects.
DAN NORTON
Design and Development Manager
Dan is a triple threat who can design in 3D CAD, fabricate and install. Dan has a degree in Industrial Design and over a decade of experience prototyping and manufacturing complex electro-mechanical systems. Dan has an eye for detail and is the mind behind the module mounting system, production line and transport stillages.
COOPER FINK
Production Manager
Cooper is an experienced electrical tradesman and production lead, overseeing all factory operations and system integration at Canyon Solar. With a background in large-scale infrastructure builds and utility interfacing, he brings a strong focus on quality, safety, and fast delivery — helping scale our canopy manufacturing to meet national demand.
CHRIS DURANTE
Lead Project Manager
A Mechanical Engineer with over a decade of experience delivering complex infrastructure across mining, water, defence, and industrial sectors, Chris has deep expertise in project management, contractor coordination, and mechanical integration. He plays a key role in overseeing Canyon Solar’s large-scale canopy deployments, ensuring systems are delivered on time, and to the highest technical standard.
ISAAC BOONSTRA
Leading Hand
Originally from Tasmania, and joining Canyon in early 2024, Isaac applies his solid construction background as site lead, and is known for his teamwork on site and deep understanding of canopy installation.

Canyon Solar was founded in 2021 by Will Beaumont, a mechanical engineer who experienced the problems of in-situ solar canopy installation first hand while working at AGL. Slow build speed, high installation cost and poor quality were plaguing the sector.
To solve them, Will turned to an approach already proven across the construction industry but never applied to solar canopies: prefabrication. He spent 18 months testing and validating the world’s first prefabricated solar canopy system before commercially launching it in 2022.
Today Canyon’s prefabricated pods are deployed at commercial sites across Australia, From its Braemar production line, now scaled to 20MWp of annual commercial carparks to renewable energy hubs.
